Thursday was another fun-filled day up here at Cheerio! Campers continued with their activities and had a blast doing it! From launching rockets in rocketry to practicing for performances in dance and drama, today’s activities were packed with excitement. For lunch, we had a camp classic: corndogs and mac n cheese! It was absolutely delicious. Cheyenne, Occaneechi, Chippewa, Lakota and Wichita were announced as honor cabins today.
After dinner, the camp came together for one of the most exciting evening programs: Thrive! Thrive is a game of capture the flag with a twist of water balloons! The red and blue teams competed in a fierce competition but the red team won in the end. We ended the night with a special vespers service put on by our last year campers. During “Friendship Vespers,“the last year campers share what their time and friendships from camp have meant to them. It was a bittersweet moment but it was awesome to hear how much these campers love this place and the friends it has brought them. We can’t wait for another great day tomorrow!
