Camp Cheerio, Tuesday of 1G

Hello from the mountain top! It was a little cloudier this morning, but the weather didn’t chase the fun away! Activities were in full swing this morning while our oldest campers were out on a ten mile hike to Stone Mountain. Upon their arrival back to camp, they ran up the hill and took a victorious jump in the pool! We had delicious chicken sandwiches for lunch, and four cabins (Occaneechi, Blackfoot, Arapahoe, and Catawba) were crowned honor cabin for the day.

Following a busy day of even more activies, doing our best to stay dry, we held a cookout inside the dining hall with brisket sandwiches, coleslaw, and baked beans. After that, we all gathered around for campfire, a special event in the middle of the week where each cabin prepares a humorous skit to perform. We shared a lot of laughs before turning in for the night, excited for another day of camp tomorrow!
