Camp Cheerio, Sunday of 2C

It’s the beginning of a new two-week session! We were so excited to see new and old faces roll into camp today, despite some unexpected rain. Luckily, the sun quickly came out, and we kicked off this week’s session with a fun-filled “crazy cookout”! We had hotdogs, chips, oreos, and lots of sweet tea!

After eating, we played a campwide game of Counselor Hunt, where one counselor from each cabin dressed in a silly costume and found somewhere to hide around camp. Our winning cabins who found the most counsolers were Cheyenne and Iraquois. After Store, a time where campers can get a drink and a snack, we headed over to our Vespers area for our opening ceremony. We shared a message about the many good qualities that make up an ideal Cheerio Camper, and we hope our campers will strive to be the best version of themselves these two weeks. It’s going to be a busy, but exciting session, and we can’t wait for our first full day tomorrow!
