THURSDAY
Hike day! We took a campwide trip to Grayson Highlands today! It was about a 30 min drive and we hiked 3 miles rountrip of up the mountain and back down. This is a staff-favorite out-of-camp trip and could not be done without our trip coordinator, Maggie.
Before the hiked, we fueled up with a cinnamon roll breakfast. Lunch was packout on the peak of the mountain with sandwiches, chips, apples, and granola bars. Dinner was chili and cornbread back at camp.
The evening program tonight was Skit Night. Our hosts - Roark, Will, Betsy, and Sally - lead the night with lovely haircuts! Stone Mountain created a catastrophic cooking show, Hoffman did “Speak Now Wedding”, Rogers had a crazy rap battle, and Pine showed us “Ferda - The Movie”
All in all, it was a jam-packed but lovely day. Stone Mountain finished off our night with vespers and now it is time for bed! We sleep in tomorrow!
