Camp Cheerio’s Senior Adult Camps are five-day, one-of-a-kind programs specifically designed for active senior adults. During their stay, campers will participate in camp activities, enjoy excellent food, take in the beautiful mountaintop scenery, and make memories they will cherish forever. Campers also have the option to attend our daily out-of-camp trips to explore surrounding destinations of the North Carolina mountains. Simply put, our Senior Adult Camps are experiences full of fun, adventure, and relaxation.
You can register for a Senior Adult Camp session through our online application. Just click the “Register Here” button below (will appear on January 10th for our 2022 sessions). Once we review your application, we will enroll you in your applied session and send you an email confirming your enrollment. A $50 deposit is required and will automatically be charged to your account when you are enrolled. If your applied session is full, we will send you an email saying you have been added to the waitlist. No fee is required to be on the waitlist.

Yes! WIFI is available in all of our lodging, meeting, and dining facilities.
The only activities that are unavailable during heavy rain are horseback riding, lake activities, and climbing. On rainy evenings, we offer Trivia Night in our dining hall in the place of outdoor evening activities!
We serve our meals buffet style in our dining hall, which offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Our buffet line will be fully stocked for a 45 minute period during which guests may come and go as they please. In addition to our informal dinnerware used in the dining hall, we also offer to-go containers and plastic cutlery for our guests to use in their living quarters or at our many picnic tables around Camp. We require everyone to wear a mask, use hand sanitizer (provided), and put on gloves (provided) before going through the buffet line. We also require guests and staff to wear masks when moving about in the dining hall.
Unfortunately, we do not allow guests to bring their pets for our weekend programs due to maintenance reasons.
A late check in is not an issue. If you need a late check-in, please contact us and let us know when you plan on arriving to Camp. We will be ready to greet you!
We understand that plans may change due to current, unpredictable circumstances. We offer a full refund up to the day before your arrival. We do ask that you inform us of your cancellation as early as possible.
We take great care of guests with any special dietary needs and will be happy to accommodate you. Our gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian options are delicious!
