1G Sunday 06/02/24

Our first opening day of the summer was a blast! We sure didn’t let a little bit of rain get in our way. After spending some time getting to know our cabin mates and jumping in the chilly pool for the swim test, all our campers and counselors dressed in their wackiest outfits and headed to the dining hall for a cook-in! We enjoyed hotdogs, lemonade, and danced to some awesome music. After the cook-in, we met in the gym for our evening program- Counselor Hunt. Each cabin searched all around camp for their missing counselors and raced to see who could find the most. Our Navajo and Catawba cabins were our winners of Counselor Hunt. Every night we meet back up again in the gym for Store, a time when campers can get a treat, hang out with their friends, and relax after a busy day of camp. The senior counselors put on a wonderful Opening Ceremony for us, and then everyone headed back to their cabin to get some rest for the busy week ahead of us. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
