2G Sunday 06/09/24

Opening day of 2G was a blast! We caught a little bit of rain but it didn’t stop our fun. After spending some time getting to know our cabin mates and jumping in the pool for the swim test, all our campers and counselors dressed in their wackiest outfits and headed to the dining hall for cook-in! We enjoyed hotdogs, lemonade, and danced to some awesome music. After the cook-in, we met in the gym for our evening program: Counselor Hunt. Each cabin searched all around camp for their missing counselors and raced to see who could find the most. Our Seminole, Shoshone and Hatteras cabins were our winners of Counselor Hunt. Every night we meet back up again in the gym for Store, a time when campers can get a treat, hang out with their friends, and relax after a busy day of camp. Today at store we got a really special treat… a double rainbow!! The senior counselors put on a wonderful Opening Ceremony for us, and then everyone headed back to their cabin to get some rest for the busy week ahead of us. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!
